FAQs
What is an NFT?
An NFT (non-fungible token) is a unique digital asset that can represent art, videos, music, access passes and even real world objects such as homes or property. Put simply, NFTs are digital trading cards with numerous real world use cases ranging from one-of-a-kind artwork to VIP event access passes.
What is crowdfunding?
The practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the internet.
What are peer to peer (P2P) transactions?
Peer-to-peer transactions (also referred to as person-to-person transactions, P2P transactions, or P2P payments) are electronic currency transfers made from one person to another through an intermediary. TUSKR P2P transactions are unique in that donations are automatically sent to the intended address, while simultaneously generating an NFT. In short, a portion of the donation upon submittal goes directly into the recipients digital wallet.
How can I help TUSKR grow and evolve?
By donating to the specified TUSKR NFT address, you can provide funds to help scale and improve the TUSKR platform. To show our appreciation we will send back a unique NFT, which will provide TUSKR platform benefits in the future. TUSKR is also funded through fees generated by other projects on the site.
How does it work / how to donate to a specific project?
You will have 2 choices: 1) Send ADA directly to the persons wallet (P2P). 2) Purchase a person(s) NFT.
Send 5 or more ADA to the person(s) address of your choice.
By choosing to mint an NFT your funds will go toward: 1) Minting and sending you the NFT, 2) The person(s) you are wanting to support and 3) The improvement and scale of the TUSKR platform.
What crypto is supported by TUSKR?
TUSKR runs on the Cardano blockchain, therefore we can only accept donations in Cardano’s native currency of ADA.
What wallet should I use?
You should ONLY use a Cardano native wallet, such as Yoroi, Gero, and Nami. NEVER send ADA to TUSKR from an exchange. Doing so may result in a permanent loss of funds.
How can I view my NFT?
NFTs can be view on CNFT.io by creating a CNFT account and connecting the wallet which received the Cardano NFT. CNFT will only be able to display Cardano NFTs through a Cardano native wallet. Some wallets, such as Nami will allow you to view within the wallet.
How do I start crowd funding through TUSKR?
At this time we are not accepting any more projects. As TUSKR NFTs are minted, those funds and funds from operations fees will go toward growing the platform. This will result in more projects being able to participate. See road map for more details.
What are the benefits of using TUSKR?
Unlike most other crowd funding platforms, TUSKR is a P2P network, and is the first of its kind on Cardano. TUSKR seeks to be revolutionary in the crypto space by providing an easy user experience to facilitate innovative transaction methods to crowdfund.
What are the fees to use TUSKR?
As TUSKR is an innovative new project on Cardano, fees will be subject to change. We anticipate fees to become lower as the project evolves. We only collect fees when NFTs are minted.
Currently, the fees are as follows:
Minting fee: 4.2 ADA - to mint the NFT and send to your wallet. This is a standard fee regardless of NFT cost. As we evolve, we anticipate this fee being reduced.
Operational fee: 1 ADA - to help grow the TUSKR platform.
What is the net amount a project will receive per NFT transaction?
The net amount will be the price of the NFT, minus the minting fee, and operational fee.
